Shalini, a young journalist finds herself in an isolated spot, where a thief is shot in cold blood by a police sub inspector. Her infrared camera has caught the killing in digital photos. The motive for the murder appears to be a love affair between the thief and a rich man’s daughter. And this person seems to be related to the state’s Chief Minister. Sridhar and Shalini, have by now stirred a hornet’s nest and landed into deep shit, because the local police commissioner himself, seems to be involved. As the conspiracy unfolds, Sridhar and Shalini find it difficult to decide who is a friend and who is an enemy.
This is an extremely fast-paced novel, almost un-put-down-able once you start the first chapter. The climax is indeed unusual.
